Sport shorts: Could the Phillies win three straight National League MVP awards?
Judging from the first six weeks of the season it is certainly possible with both Chase Utley (.362 average, 13 HR's) and Pat Burrell (.315, 9) putting up monster numbers.
The pair would have to be two of the early favorites to follow teammates Ryan Howard (2006) and Jimmy Rollins (2007) to the award stand.
